This reminds me of a recent scandal between Megaupload and Universal Music. The other day Megaupload had a popup saying that lots of music industry people were totally stoked with the service and all these statistics about why it was such a pro place to be. Today I read this. I can’t be bothered summarizing, but check it out. Why did you pull such a noob move Universal? You just gave more advertising to them. No such thing as bad publicity. Publicity just makes things more public. And the more publicity something has the more people know about it (Repeat sentence with different wording). And from there people decide whether they like the product or not. And if it’s a bad product then people won’t use it. So as we can see there is no such thing as bad publicity, just bad products or choices.
